Certified 16th October 1885 for 60 boys.  Run by the Waifs' and Strays' Society. 

The school was a combination of farm and institution.  Closed 7th October 1926.  May have used the name Standon Park.

STAFF

1891 - Superintendent and matron, Mr & Mrs Day; head teacher Mr Verity; assistant head teacher Mr Fieldhouse; farm bailiff Mr Williams.  The inspector also remarked "On the morning of my visit (18th April 1891), and just before my arrival, an alarming fire had broken out, which very soon destroyed the cow-house and threatened other portions of the premises, but the workmen and the boys, with the assistance of a few of the neighbours, were successful in extinguishing it.  There was plenty of water but no fire engine.  By strenuous effort the danger was averted.  The boys worked very heartily".

1893 - Superintendent and matron, Mr & Mrs W.J.C. Day; schoolmaster, Mr Pennington; assistant schoolmaster Mr Fieldhouse?

1901 - Superintendent and matron Mr & Mrs W.J.C. Day; schoolmaster Mr H.E. Pile

1903 - Superintendent and matron Mr & Mrs J.G. Chester; schoolmaster Mr G.W.O Mathews.  Mrs Mathews was appointed assistant teacher on 13th October 1902
