Certified 9th December 1854 for 50 girls, re-certified 4th July, 1904 for 45 girls.  Cessation of certification or closure 11th December 1918. 

Founded by Miss Carpenter in a large family house plus a cottage.

Red Lodge became a Bristol City Museum.

1869 - Miss Carpenter had spent a good deal of time away doing educational work in India.  Miss Bailey has filled the post of lady superintendent in her absence.

1884 - Superintendent Miss E.A. Langabeer; assistant matron Miss Hammond; schoolmistress Miss F Langabeer.

1891 - Superintendent Miss E.A. Langabeer; general assistant Miss Hammond; schoolmistress Miss S.J  Langabeer; laundry matron Miss Turner.

1893 - Superintendent Miss E.A. Langabeer; general assistant Miss Hammond; schoolmistress Miss S.J  Langabeer; laundry matron Miss Turner.

1900 - Superintendent Miss E.A. Langabeer;  assistant matron  Miss Hammond; schoolmistress Miss .J  Langabeer; laundry matron Miss E. Morgan; Industrial assistant Miss Pring succeeded Miss Farrall who left 26th April 1900

1903 - Superintendent Miss E.A. Langabeer; assistant matron Miss Eastmond; schoolmistress Miss J  Langabeer; Miss Meadon the kitchen matron left in February, and was succeeded by Miss Chard, who left in May and is to be again succeeded by Miss Meadon.
