Initially at Churchgate, and later moved to Dialstone Lane.

Certified 6th February 1877 for 60 girls and re-certified 27th December 1889 for 65 girls on removal to Dialstone Lane.  Closed 1st February 1922.

The school at Dialstone Lane was purpose-built on a high situation away from the town.

1900 - Superintendent Miss Janet Wotherspoon/Wetherspoon; schoolmistress Miss Helen Wotherspoon/Wetherspoon; Miss Grace Falconer succeeded Miss Robinson on 22nd December 1899.  Miss Heathcote has succeeded Miss Macgregor as sewing mistress; kitchen matron Miss R Grainger; laundry-matron Miss A. Wilson, appointed 8th May 1899.
