Summary of Mr. Lockwood's reports upon Children Boarded-out under the care of the Millbrook Boarding-out Committee.
George Johnson boarded out with Mr & Mrs Goodman, appears a dull child, but his foster mother gave him a good character for obedience and truthfulness. He shares a bed with a boy aged five, the grandchild of the foster parents. The bedroom was fairly good. Those above-mentioned are the only occupants of the cottage, which has a garden attached to it. The foster mother stated that the boy had not ailed since coming to Millbrook, and that he regularly attended school, which was, however, closed at the date of the inspector's visit for the harvest holiday.
